Growth
Beginning in just Lynchburg, Virginia, the Lynchburg Daily Bread has been able to continue expanding its reach throughout the years. With the assistance of various community partners (including the Greater Lynchburg Community Foundation), their reach currently spans across our region, including Altavista, Appomattox, Bedford and Pamplin. This is done through their meals outreach program, which serves the outlying area of Lynchburg through the area's excess food. This program also helps to eliminate food waste throughout the city, as they work with local restaurants, stores and farmers to take excess food to people in need.
The GLCF is proud to be a part of bringing positive change to our community and couldn't be more pleased with the work that the Lynchburg Daily Bread is doing. To learn more about this organization and how you can volunteer, visit their website!
