LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) -- The Free Clinic of Central Virginia is expanding to help meet the needs of its community.
The clinic received a grant for $100,000 from the Greater Lynchburg Community Foundation’s Century Fund.
The clinic’s CEO, Christina Delzingaro, said the clinic will use the grant money to help expand and renovate its Main Street location in Lynchburg. She said the expansion project will improve the exterior of the building and create more patient space, specifically for behavioral health counseling and patient educational services.
Delzingaro said the grant will help the clinic meet the increasing need for affordable healthcare for uninsured adults in Lynchburg and the surrounding counties.
